Thanks to all the competitors, the whole Paradise Weekend was a blast!
The uphill was brutal and hopes were high for Renato, who was second at the
ECMC Basel mainrace and had gears! But the dutchies did it again (even
without cheating or gears) and came in first and second. Maybe the Swiss
finally ran out of luck as Renato came in third.
Unfortunately we also had a crash during the alleycatalunya, but besides a
broken bike, Dirk only had lots of bruises and swollen parts. He just
finished his last manifest and after the crash he couldn¹t get a cab so he
ran to the finish and came in second after Scott. Pretty good job, that is
why he got the price Luckyfucker.
It was time for the real party. Of course we first had to wait for Nils as
he came in last again.
Off to the party where they showed ŒTwisted dreams of a fixed rider¹,
starring Jean-Marie from London and we drank free beer because of Steven¹s
birthday.
Sunday we spent half of the day at the beach (yep warm Bcn) and had the
awardshit. Later on we spend all our savings at the Canodromo, the dog
racetrack. Were the beer was cheap but the betting expensive.
