friday 23rd of july we had a monopoly alleycat in prenzlauer berg , berlin . a pre-event to the pre-event before warsaw i suppose you'd call it . whatever bike you like . 55 racers from a big gang of places started . it nearly started pissing rain at the beginning but then changed its mind . either way i wouldn't have minded cos i was doing the checkpoint at august fengler's bar ha ha . anyway , thanks again to everybody who took part and helped out . and thanks to bregan who laid on chrome bags , bagjack who laid on , uh , bagjack bags , inline who laid on t shirts ( one of which was either being used to clean a bike or getting burned later in the week i can't remember which ) , go / express for jersey , keirin / luk keller for the st paulopoly frame , david for the laurel wreath and i'm positive there was something else .

we also figured out ( rather , power route version II did ) who had to ride the furthest during the two hours . really close and an all-berlin affair . daniel save the whales king of berlin clocked up 44 k's , narrowly edging out jörg packo bikes with 43 and a bit .
