Messengers (ex-messengers and even some clients!!) from Basel and Freiburg met at 11 p.m. for a night alley cat race over the bridges of Basel. The weather was perfect, the streets were clear and the competitors fast. Our world-champion Karl, Olivier, Dominique, Philip the German and Thomas went ahead straightaway, while the big field got lost in the Allmendstrasse. Fortunately, they found their way back into the race and everyone arrived exhausted at my place. Karl and Olivier came first and Philip once again proved to be the first out-of-towners. And alas, after Lisa from Germany had given up, it left me as only and thus first woman. Also worth mentioning is of course our courageous client Michi, who did manage to keep up with the field.

Afterwards we all had deliciously cooked pasta by our German cook Philip. We had fun big time, and I was happy that so many friends participated, it is not always easy to get people come to the races, especially here in Switzerland. But once again, we're quite happy that the effort of organising proved to be worth it.
