The race course had fully staffed checkpoints. All finishers had all the rubber stamps on their manifests (the manifests had 13 stops - 4 were dry runs). Checkpoints were: Union Sq./Clay & Washington (bridge on Kearny)/Clay & Washington (bridge on Davis)/Davis & Front (bridge on Jackson)/3rd & 4th (bridge on Howard)/fountain @ 417 Sutter (actually on Stockton)/Geary & Post (pagoda on Buchanan)/8th & Lake (top of steps)/Arguello & Irving (floor J)/Finish @ Fulton & Stanyan.
