We met in the park. About 40 people showed up, but only 24 were actually racing. Don't ask me why. Everyone got their manifest with the names of a bunch of bus stops and a piece of cardboard the size of a bus ticket. Every bus stop in Zurich has a ticket vending machine that cancels your ticket by stamping place and time on the ticket. That's four-hundred machines, so that's four-hundred possible checkpoints. There's your fully automated alleycat race courtesy of Zurich public transport.
There were nine checkpoints in this race. They had to be done in the right order. The course was pretty hilly, steep at times. Still, the winner came in after exactly 40 minutes with a race-course of about 26 kilometers. That gives you a pretty impressive average speed.
Anyways, here are the results:
1. Gian
2. Victor
3. Res
4. Peritz
5. CV
6. Luzian
7. Karsten
8. Andreas
9. Poli
10. Christine
